The Unger HydroPower® Nano System is built for professional cleaners who need pure water on site without relying on electricity, pumps or a fixed setup.

This mobile hybrid pure water system combines a pre filter, nano membrane and HydroPower® Ultra DI filter to produce high purity water for window, facade and PV cleaning. Unger's own term for the process is nanofiltration and deionisation (DI). The nano membrane filters at nanometre scale to take out the dissolved minerals that cause spotting, and the DI stage polishes whatever is left. That is what keeps the glass clear as it dries, even in hard water areas.

Filtration runs in three stages. The pre filter removes chlorine, sediment and particles, which protects the membrane behind it. The nano membrane then does the bulk of the work, sending the rejected water out through the concentrate hose. Finally the HydroPower® Ultra DI filter polishes the water to a pure water finish.

The upstream nano membrane takes most of the load off the DI filter, while the Flow Optimiser lets you fine tune flow, pressure and resin economy to suit the job. Depending on water hardness and what you are cleaning, that can extend resin pack range by up to 14 times.

The large wheels cope with gravel and kerbs rather than digging in, and the integrated pole lock means your poles travel with the machine instead of needing a second trip. A digital TDS display and pressure gauge let you check outgoing water quality and inlet pressure without stopping work.

Two versions are available:

NANOD, Complete. Includes the HydroPower® Ultra DI filter and a 6 litre Ultra Resin pack, so it is ready to produce pure water straight away. 30 kg empty.
NANOE, Basic. The same system supplied without the HydroPower® Ultra DI filter and without resin, for cleaners who already own a HydroPower® Ultra and would rather not buy a second one. 24 kg empty.

If you already run a HydroPower® Ultra, the NANOE is the one to choose. If you are starting from scratch, the NANOD gives you everything in one go.

What is the Unger HydroPower® Nano System used for?

It is used to produce pure water for professional window, facade and PV cleaning. Pure water helps lift dirt from the surface and dries without leaving mineral spots, making it a practical choice for exterior cleaning where a streak free finish is required.

Does the HydroPower Nano need electricity?

No, the system works without a power connection. This makes it easier to use on site because you do not need to plan around mains power, battery packs or extra electrical equipment.

Does it need a pump to operate?

No, the HydroPower Nano is designed to work without a pump. This keeps the setup simpler and can help reduce the amount of equipment needed when working from different locations.

How does the nano membrane help with resin use?

The nano membrane sits upstream of the DI filter and helps reduce the load placed on the resin. When used with the Flow Optimiser, this can increase the range of a resin pack by up to 14 times, depending on water hardness, flow settings and the type of work being carried out.

Is this suitable for hard water areas?

Yes, and hard water is where it earns its keep. In a soft water area a straight DI filter may well be enough on its own. Where the water is hard, putting a membrane in front of the resin makes a real difference to running costs, because the membrane removes most of the dissolved minerals before the resin ever sees them.

What does the Flow Optimiser do?

It sets the blend anywhere from 0 to 100%, which is what lets you trade output against resin life. Turn it one way for maximum flow when you need to get through volume, the other way to be gentler on the resin when you want the pack to last. Output moves between roughly 100 and 260 l/h across that range, so you can tune the machine to your local water rather than accepting one fixed setting.

Can I check the water quality while working?

Yes, there is a digital TDS display that reads the outgoing water at the push of a button. A low reading means the resin is still doing its job. A reading that climbs over time is the signal that the resin is nearing the end of its life and is due a change. Checking it before you start rather than halfway up a building is a good habit.

Is it easy to move around on site?

Yes. The chassis is compact and sits on large wheels that cope with gravel and kerbs rather than digging in. The integrated pole lock keeps a water fed pole secured to the machine, so your poles move with it instead of needing a second trip.

What is the difference between the NANOD and NANOE versions?

The NANOD is the complete system and includes the HydroPower® Ultra DI filter along with a 6 litre Ultra Resin pack, so it is ready to produce pure water out of the box. The NANOE is the same trolley, pre filter, nano membrane and Flow Optimiser, supplied without the DI filter and without resin. It is designed for cleaners who already own a HydroPower® Ultra and do not want to buy a second one. The NANOE is also lighter, at 24 kg empty against 30 kg for the NANOD.

Can I use my existing HydroPower® Ultra filter with the NANOE?

Yes, that is exactly what it is built for. The NANOE is supplied ready to take a HydroPower® Ultra filter you already own, which saves paying twice for the same component. If your existing filter is due a resin change, it is worth refilling it at the same time so the membrane and the resin are both working at their best from the start.
