These terms of service ("Terms") apply to all orders placed with Window Cleaning Warehouse Ltd ("WCW", "we", "us", "our"), whether through our website windowcleaningwarehouse.co.uk, by telephone, or at our trade counter. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully before ordering. If anything is unclear, contact our team using the details at the bottom of this page.

Business to Business Terms

WCW supplies equipment to professional window cleaners and trade users. All transactions are treated as business to business. This means consumer legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, does not apply to purchases made with us in the same way it would for consumer transactions.

By placing an order, you confirm that you are purchasing goods in the course of a business or trade.

Formation of Contract

Placing an order (whether online, by telephone or at our trade counter) constitutes an offer to purchase goods from us. A legally binding contract is formed between you and WCW at the point of delivery (for online and telephone orders) or at the point of collection (for trade counter orders).

Processing your payment and sending an order confirmation email does not constitute acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order before delivery, in which case a full refund will be issued.

All goods are subject to availability. If an item is out of stock or discontinued, we will notify you and offer an alternative or a refund.

Pricing

All prices on our website are shown in GBP and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. VAT will be added at the applicable rate during checkout.

We take care to ensure pricing is accurate, but errors can occasionally occur. If we discover a pricing error on your order, we will contact you before dispatch to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Price matching is at our sole discretion. We aim to provide the best possible prices alongside expert support and service.

Payment

We accept payment by credit card, debit card and PayPal. Payment terms may vary depending on the order type and customer account status. In some cases, payment is taken at the point of order. In other cases, pro forma payment may be required before dispatch.

All payments are processed securely using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. We do not store your full card details.

If payment is not received in accordance with the agreed terms, we reserve the right to withhold dispatch, suspend your account, charge interest on overdue amounts at the rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate (in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998), and recover reasonable costs incurred in collecting the debt.

Delivery

We offer free courier delivery on orders over £75. Orders below this threshold are subject to a delivery charge calculated at checkout.

Delivery is arranged via our courier partners, which may include DPD, TNT, Palletways or Royal Mail depending on the size and nature of the order. Estimated delivery timeframes are provided at checkout but are not guaranteed. We will do our best to keep you informed of any delays.

Risk in the goods passes to you at the point of delivery. It is your responsibility to inspect goods upon receipt. Any damage, shortages or discrepancies must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery. If goods arrive visibly damaged, please note this with the courier driver where possible and contact us immediately with photographs.

If you provide a mobile number at checkout, we will share it with the relevant courier so you can receive delivery updates. You can ask us to remove your number from this service at any time.

Returns and Refunds

As all transactions are business to business, the statutory cooling off period that applies to consumer contracts does not apply. Any returns are handled in accordance with our returns policy and these Terms.

Product Warranty

Many of the products we sell carry a manufacturer's warranty. Warranty terms vary by product. If you cannot find clear warranty information on the product page, please contact our team before purchasing.

The following are not covered under any warranty arrangement supplied by WCW:

  • Wear and tear. The assessment of suspected wear and tear damage is carried out by WCW at our discretion.
  • Damage caused by impact, excessive force, misuse or neglect.
  • Any product that has been modified, altered or repaired without our prior written consent.

If you believe a product is faulty and covered by warranty, contact us to arrange an assessment. Items must be returned to WCW at the customer's expense for inspection before any replacement or credit is authorised. We will confirm the outcome of the assessment and next steps as quickly as possible.

Installation Services

We offer professional installation services at our four install centres located in Barry, Liverpool, Grimsby and Billericay. The following terms apply to all installation bookings:

  • Installation appointments must be booked in advance. We will confirm your appointment date and estimated duration.
  • You may remain on site during installation or leave your vehicle with us and collect it later. In either case, vehicle keys must be left with our installation team for the duration of the work.
  • While your vehicle is in our care, we will take reasonable precautions to protect it. However, WCW accepts no liability for any pre existing damage, cosmetic wear, or any loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your vehicle is suitable and safe for the installation requested. If our team identifies any issues that prevent a safe installation, we reserve the right to postpone or decline the work.
  • Any modifications or additions beyond the agreed scope of work must be confirmed and agreed in writing before work begins.
  • Risk in any installed equipment passes to you upon completion of the installation and collection of the vehicle.

Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with any order or service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that order or service.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential or special losses, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of anticipated savings, or loss of goodwill, however arising.

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, industrial action, supply chain disruption, government action, or failure of third party services.

Our products are designed for professional use by trained operatives. We are not liable for any damage, injury or loss arising from improper use, inadequate training, failure to follow manufacturer instructions, or use of equipment in a manner for which it was not intended.

Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, product descriptions and design, is the property of Window Cleaning Warehouse Ltd or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or use any content from our website without our written permission.

Third Party Links

Our website may contain links to third party websites, including manufacturers, suppliers and social media channels. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or terms of any third party websites. Please review their terms before engaging with them.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
