FaceLift^® Fishscale Microfibre Cloth

The FaceLift® Fishscale Microfibre Cloth are ideal for all glasswork throughout the home, car, motorhome etc etc. I washed a number of the cloths together on a short wash, using a liquid for woollens, in a washing machine, they came out perfectly and were ready to use again in no time. We only use these cloths when doing our traditional bungalows. It leaves no hair or lint residue behind like scrim cloths do and holds quite a lot of water meaning you need to change them less frequently. Be aware to wash them on there own first otherwise you’ll be turning your blue microfibre sill cloths purple! And also don’t use UPVC cleaner with them as it’s bleeds pink onto the frames. But using it for what it was designed for it is winner hands down for me

You can do a lot with this when rinsed in clear water and wring out till nearly dry. Very good, but can catch on lead lighted windows where a micro fibre doesn’t. Needs a few washes before the red dye stops running. Lasts a long time.

The towel is decent enough as a towel. Not as good as a scrim. However, the issue me and my wife found on first wash is that it bleeds its red dye extremely profusely. My wife put on a colours wash with all the things she would normally put reds in with and this dyed everything in the wash pink. It even dyed the washing machine drum seal bright pink! May be a good towel but should absolutely be washed on their own or solely with reds as vibrant as these towels.

So good for detailing! Last a long time without ripping holes in it.

Very good microfibre. plucks a little easily and the colour runs badly in the wash.

Best scrim I've ever used

Great size and very absorbent but pulls very easily, first use had 5 pulls so not for me.

These are brilliant, they soak upLoads of water and you can still use them while the damp (not wet). They are cheaper than the unger scrim but the only thing that lets these down is that after only 3 days of use they are starting to fray. If they rub on bricks when your drying the windows they get caught and start to fray. They won't last as long as the unger ones because of this.

I've never enjoyed using microfibre cloths. Low absorbency being the main problem and not very quick at drying the glass. However these are brilliant. The fish scaled finish means they actually collect the moisture on the glass really effectively. I've now bought 4 or 5 and use them most days for inside jobs or wiping over bottom sills when I've used WFP. They're also a little cheaper than scrims too. Highly recommended.

One star because they performed reasonably before the first wash, I put them in with ten new scrims and now they are ten new pink scrims thanks for that. Did I follow washing instructions ? No there weren't any. A few weeks in there still leaking colour but now on window frames mixed with the black pvc rubber is a pain in the... Also leaves marks when detailing , excellent blade rubbers but useless and I mean totally scrims.

tried these today for first time . i am very happy the quality you can feel in your hand . done some shop work with them and was amazed how good the are . will be buying plenty more of these . the colour is a bonus lol

Seem to clean leaded windows very well but snag and rip slot easier than a scrim
