Nice piece of equipment but let down a bit on quality, in particular the hozelock type connector feeding the pole pipe leaks making it impossible to carry around without getting soaked. Also the screw on connector to a garden tap needs a better washer as it sprays water everywhere. Disappointed that such a good idea is let down by small issues.

Genuinely love this product and I’m on my second one but I have absolutely no idea what the purpose of the lid is because it’s certainly not to stop water coming out. I get soaked every time I lift the bloody thing.

Great bit of kit once you get you head around the weak points on this back pack. I've running my business for 4 years now and I'm on my second once of these. In my experience and I can't stress this enough, it's extremely important to purchase and always keep a spare speed controller as it's not a case of if this part fails it's a case of when! The other weak point has been the contact points for the fuse for the battery can corrode preventing you even switching it on. The build quality was pretty poor on the first one I purchased. It had terrible connections to the terminals on the battery I ended up re-soldering these on myself. The heat shrinking on all the connections were not shrunk on and left loose. The fitting on the bottom of the tank was finger tight leaking water directly into the electrical area so its worth checking this when purchasing. But after sorting this all out and getting your head around these issues you have a pretty reliable little backpack. And when any of these problems come up you can rectify them on the spot if needed. You can often alot get water build up inside the electrical area that only exasperates these issues so make sure to pay attention to were you place your backpack on jobs and avoid any wet grass if possible. The second one I purchased had much better workmanship on the entire assembly. One other thing that's worth keeping a spare of is a replacement hose that's screws to the pump outlet as this can split every 6 months or so if used daily. when it does it can stop you working if you don't have anything to patch the split with like PTFE tape and binding with electrical tape if you don't keep a spare. Otherwise you'll be pretty unstoppable. The pump on my old one is still going strong 4 years on. Yes you might have to full proof yourself but overall pretty happy and I will likely just keep replacing parts as needed for a never ending backpack I have no experience with other backpacks but hope this helps anyone reading this.

Had my big boy for 2 years now completely dead

I have this for the last 2 years and use it at least 3 times a week for at least 1 hour per day and the battery and everything works fine. After 2 years I can say that the battery does not last as much when I use it to pump water for more than 80 liters at full spead, so from fully charged the battery will drop 1 indicator down after 70 liters of use. Charge your battery as soon as the 1st indicator drops and you will have this big boy for at least 3 years before you may need to replace the battery. Will buy another Big Boy soon! Big Boy for Life!

perfect for my use, I generally only clean consevatorys and don't have need for any great volume of water. I did a bit of research before buying and it seems that as long as you keep your eye on the battery and manage it right it'll give plenty of service

This is a great piece of kit to have in your van, highly recommend.

After receiving the original BigBoy I was a little dissappointed as the battery didn't last long at all! I phoned WCW and they sent out a replacement within a couple of days. The first one I received obviously had a fault, and when I received the replacement I was amazed at the performance that this can deliver. I would recommend this poduct and also the great after sales service from WCW.

Easy to use and a great bit of kit, charges up fine and used all day without any problems, will definitely be getting another one

After charging this backpack it doesn’t seem to hold a charge for very long certainly wouldn’t get a days work out of it
