Since the United Kingdom left the European Union on 1st January 2020, there has been some changes to the way that VAT is charged on orders leaving the UK. Window Cleaning Warehouse (WCW) is now able to offer our products for sale to customers outside the UK at prices exclusive of VAT.
This means that our products are effectively costing 20% less at the point of purchase than they were last year. To take advantage of the VAT-free prices, customers outside of the UK simply need to check out as normal, and the tax saving is calculated automatically at the checkout.
However, this does not mean that the VAT will not need to be paid, but instead means that this is not paid to WCW at the point of purchase. You may be liable to pay sales tax (also known as VAT, TVA, or GST) and import duty when our parcel arrives in your country.
For customers outside the United Kingdom, the value of goods in your parcel will affect the price that you pay in import tax and duty. For customers in the EU, generally, items below EUR 22.00 can be imported completely tax-free. Above this amount, sales tax is charged at between 20% and 25% on the value of goods depending on the current sales tax rate in your country.
Import duty is an additional tax which is charged on order values over approximately EUR 150.00. Duty rates vary depending on the type of product being imported, and vary between 5% and 15%.
Delivery times are expected to be extended by the customs clearance process, and this generally takes 72 hours, however this is performed by government run agency that we are not able to influence. It is possible for this process to take longer than this and there is no specific limit to the amount of time that customs can hold your goods. 
Sales tax and import tax are set by national governments, and are not something that WCW can influence. Please check the website of your national government for current import tax and duty rates.
Finally, please be aware that your local postal service may charge a fee for processing VAT and duty payments on your behalf. This fee will vary from carrier to carrier - check with your postal service or courier for the current rate.
